2 Day Trip to Anmyondo Island

On 31st new year's eve we along with our friends Naveen, Nishi, Ananthesh,Vaishali,Jagadeesha nd Deepa started our journey to a small island called anmyondo located at chungcheongnam-do province.

We had reserved a Pension for our stay. Below is the Home page of the Pension.

Starting our journey.

It takes almost 2 hours to reach there. The island is 6th biggest islands of Korea and is famous for new year sunrise.

The road till Anmyondo was very beautiful . Once we left the highway the scenery's were breath taking. Pines trees were lined up along both sides of a small two way road. Since the van was full of our friends we could chat and kids played together. It was nice experience.

we reached till the tip of Anmyondo island with the hope that we will reach our pension house( small independent houses used for accommodation) soon. but there was some more surprise. our pension was located in another small island on the sea.

The owner of the pension came with his personal boat to pick us up from the shore. we took all our belongings and started our journey towards the island.

The pension was a cosy little house made of wood on the small island. all the sides we could see only stretch of sea.

We entered the room and soon it was filled up with shouting screaming and giggling of kids .

we took some rest had late lunch and started chalking out as to what games we should play and how to spend the rest of 24 hrs together.

Since it was new year's eve and Anmyondo is famous for new year sunrise so the pension was full.

we went to the coast in the evening all the pensions were decorated with lights . It was a nice view.

we took pics and came back for next round of games. At sharp 12 am the sky was filled with all kinds of fireworks for almost half an hour.

we ate played and enjoyed till 4 am and then went to sleep . Thank god the kids slept by 12.
Next day we got up with the sound of traditional drums. on the other side of the sea some traditional events were going on . Due to foggy weather the sunrise was not visible .

we took some photos and then went back to the shore by the boat.
On our way back we visited the famous kotji beach and a Buddha temple located on the top of a mountain.
