3 Day Trip To Mallipo Beach

About Mallipo Beach: Mallipo beach is in the west coast of in the Chungcheongnam-do province of Korea and it was in news for the crude oil spill on dec 2007.
Mallipo beach is the largest beach among many others in Taean area. You can get more information about tean and mallipo beach from the official site below.
Mallipo Info

Journey: This month on 12th some of our friends together went to Mallipo beach for three days.We started our journey at around 6 pm from Suwon. We reached to our pension at around 9:30 pm.

Stay at Pension: We had rented a pension for our stay. Pensions can be reserved online from websites. Once we reserve we need to transfer some advanced booking amount to the owner.
Pensions are independent house where you get cooking facilities. In some sense they are similar to Condominium. The difference that I noticed is Condominiums are rooms in big multi storey building whereas pensions are rooms in Villa like house which are usually not more then 2-3 storey.
The pension was quite spacious and very near to the beach.

At the Beach: We spent the night there and next day afternoon we went to the beach. We installed our tents and kept our belonging and headed toward the water but being early June the sea water was a bit cold to happily dive in. Nevertheless most of our friends played in the water for some time and then we played volley ball at the beach. We spent the whole day in beach.

That night men decided to cook dinner and believe me we were treated with really nice dinner with so many tasty items.

Dinner by men. (yeah we did it!!!)

Good night kids, plz sleeeeeep!!!

The Buddha temple: Next morning we were ready to leave the pension but very near to the pension there was a Buddha temple. How could we miss that.We all went there prayed and took some photos and started our return journey.

The Adventure: Before returning home we all decided to visit some other nearby place but we had no idea what and where. Some one told us there is some attraction nearby and we headed towards that direction. We came to a point where the road came to a dead end and we could just see a thin muddy road heading towards some jungle.

We decided to follow the road even though we did not know where it goes.Korea being a very safe country we did not had to worry much before taking the decision. Before starting toward the unknown destiny we took a few pictures there.

On the way to another beach we took few pictures at this place.

These grown ups could not resist monkeying around. Girish and Kumar on tree top and Naveen Kalyan and Rakesh waiting for their turn.

The Suspense Ends: The road towards the jungle was a uphill one and after some time we saw a board on the tree saying "Beach ahead". We did not believe it as we were literally driving upwards in a hilly area. How could sea be located on top of hill.

But some how our curiosity did not allow us to use our brain and we kept moving .After another 500m started the downhill journey and lo we reached a beautiful beach. It looked like a private beach as the width was very less, covered by mountain on three sides and beach on the front.

This beach is kind of a private beach with the capacity of not more then 100-200 people.

It was fun here.

The kids having fun again in the water with Kalyan uncle.

Having our late lunch after all that beach fun .
Thanks to all our friends who made the journey memorable.

This june all our friends together planned for a picnic outdoors. The location selected was seoul olympic park. Its a huge park with many sports facility and also the olympic stadium where 1988 olympics were held. Its a good place for full day outing with many activities to do.

We basically the food lovers went for a foodcentric picnic. It was a potluck lunch .Lots of yummy food was prepared by all and we enjoyed it to the core.

Our delicous meal.

The men's group taking rest . Too much food and the hot humid weather made all drowsy and sleepy.
Some are already in deep sleep!!

The ladies group busy chatting.
Kunjal busy playing.

It was very refreshing sitting under those lush green shady trees and chatting with friends.

Few active people like Sougat da kept the kids busy.

Way back from the park.

In the evening we all ended up at Partha's house which is very near to olympic park. we had a second round of food (again!!) and then headed back home at night.

We didnt explore the park much this time but hope to go again next time and have lots of activities .
