2 Day Trip To Chiaksan

About Chiaksan: Chiaksan National Park is located in the Gangwon-do province of Korea. For detailed Information about the Location please check the VisitKorea Website.

Chiaksan National Park

We had reserved a Condominium for our stay in Chiaksan.Condo is good for people who like to do light cooking on thier own.Condos are equipped with Gas Range, Cooking utensils, Cup, Plate etc.

Mountain view from the condo.

Nirupam guiding us with the Location MAP in his hand. Why would we need Tour Guide?

The trail to Ciaksan National Park.

We just reached till the point where hikers usually start their journey. With kids it would need some more preparation to actually move beyond this point. At that point there was a nice Buddha temple. We visited the temple and spent some time there and started our return journey.

Temple near Chiaksan.Kumar and Naveen Family.Where is Navodit.hmm may be behind the Camera?

Kunjal,Navodit and Nirupam posing near the pagoda.

On our way back we stopped at the stream and played with the water. The water was crystal clear and yes really cold but it didnot stop the kids from getting inside it.

The mountain stream was very refreshing

We walked till the parking lot.Its around 1km distance. With greenary on both side of the road walking was not really tiring .

Picture of beautiful lush greenery on our way back.

walking back towards the parking lot.Chandra with Deepa.

On our way home we thought of visiting another place as we had time.We looked at the tour pamphlets and located a camping place and set our navigation for the new destination.

Within an hour we were there. It was not a planned destination.Out of sheer curiousity we got there but were amazed at the beauty of the location. It reminded us of the beutiful mountains in the movie Zurassic Park .There was a nice water stream where people were enjoying swiming. We could not resist either and were inside the water in no time.

You can see more photos of this place from the below link.I serached from net and added it here.
